Configuration files

Server > Configuration files (/server/config-files) edits the host services' own configuration: Postfix (main.cf, master.cf), Dovecot, MariaDB/MySQL, BIND, Pure-FTPd, Redis/Valkey, the SSH server and fail2ban's jail.local. Only these files can be reached.

A save:

1. keeps the previous file in /var/lib/hitechcloud/config-backups/<file>/ (the last ten, each one restorable from the page);
2. runs the service's own check where it has one (postfix check, doveconf -n, named-checkconf, sshd -t, fail2ban-client --test);
3. reloads or restarts the service.

If the check refuses the file, the reload fails or the service does not stay up, the previous file is put back, the service is applied again, and the service's last log lines are shown. The web servers are edited on Domains > WebEngines.
