Export Settings

Settings > Export (/settings/export) downloads a .tar.gz of the configuration files that make this server behave the way it does, so they can be kept, reviewed, or applied to another server.

Only configuration goes in, and the list of files is chosen rather than swept up: nothing in the archive contains a password, a private key, or a hosting account's data. An export is something an administrator downloads over a browser session and may well email to somebody.
