Server actions
Receive notifications when specific server-level actions are detected:

- Out of Memory (OOM) errors: Checks journal logs for system services and user processes killed by OOM in the last 24 hours.

SMTP Settings
No SMTP server is configured by default — email notifications will not be sent until you set one up here.
To configure an SMTP server for email delivery, configure the following:
- With HiTechAdmin
- With HiTechCloudCLI
Set server port, TLS or SSL, Username and Password to use for authentication.
Configure each value via hitechcloudcli config update commands, for example:
hitechcloudcli config update mail_server example.net
hitechcloudcli config update mail_port 465
hitechcloudcli config update mail_use_tls False
hitechcloudcli config update mail_use_ssl True
hitechcloudcli config update mail_username user@example.net
hitechcloudcli config update mail_password strongpassword123
hitechcloudcli config update mail_default_sender user@example.net
Customer Notification Defaults
HiTechAdmin > Settings > Customer Notification Defaults (/settings/notification-defaults) sets which emails a customer account gets (logins, password and contact-address changes, two-factor changes, disk and mailbox quota, certificate expiry) until its owner chooses otherwise on HiTechCloud > Account > Email Notifications.
A change here reaches every account that has not saved a choice of its own, and none that has. The emails are sent only while the notifications module is on and SMTP is set up above.
