Service Limits

The Service Limits section allows Administrators to view and adjust the allocated CPU and Memory resources for system services.

Each row is a systemd service on this server, with its current CPU limit (in cores; 0 means no limit) and memory limit (in GB; 0 means no limit). To change one, enter the new values and click Save.

A saved limit is applied to the running service at once (CPUQuota= and MemoryMax=, pushed with systemctl set-property --runtime) and written to the unit's drop-in, /etc/systemd/system/<unit>.service.d/50-hitechcloud-limits.conf, so it survives a restart and a reboot. No restart is needed, and no file needs editing.

The list is every service unit the panel manages on this server, so it changes with what is installed.

NOTE

Earlier versions of this page edited /root/.env. That file belongs to the container architecture, which is retired; a host-services server has no /root/.env.

Per-account CPU and memory are not set here: they come from the account's plan (HiTechAdmin > Plans).
