ℹ️ Use Cmd on macOS in place of Ctrl.

Edit shortcuts

Open HiTechAdmin > Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts (/settings/shortcuts).

  • Each row is a key combination and the page it opens. Write the combination as modifiers and one key joined by +, for example Ctrl+Shift+H or Alt+F2. It needs at least one of Ctrl, Shift or Alt; Ctrl also means Cmd on macOS. The key is one character or a key name (Escape, Enter, Tab, Backspace, Delete, Insert, Home, End, PageUp, PageDown, ArrowUp, ArrowDown, ArrowLeft, ArrowRight, F1 to F12).
  • The page is a path on HiTechAdmin, such as /users.
  • Add a shortcut adds a row, Remove deletes one. Ctrl+K is reserved for the list of shortcuts.
  • The form refuses a combination that is written twice, has no modifier, or names a key that does not exist, and a page that is not a path on this panel.

Click Save Changes, then reload a page to use the new shortcuts. Nothing needs restarting.

The list is kept in /etc/hitechcloud/hitechadmin/config/shortcuts.json; you do not need to edit it, and a re-run of the installer keeps your version.

Disable shortcuts

On the same page, untick Keyboard shortcuts are on and save. No key press does anything then, Ctrl+K included. The list is kept, and ticking the box again brings it back as it was.
