WebEngine
Which web server a website runs on is chosen per website with
hitechcloudcli engine. The engines are nginx, Apache and
OpenLiteSpeed, each on its own loopback ports, behind one front end.
hitechcloudcli engine <list|get|set|default|sites> [DOMAIN] [ENGINE]
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
list | Every WebEngine, its ports, whether it is installed, its service state, and how many sites it carries. |
get <domain> | The WebEngine a site runs on. |
set <domain> <engine> | Move a site to another WebEngine. |
default [<engine>] | Show or change the WebEngine new sites get. |
sites [<engine>] | List sites grouped by WebEngine. |
Ports: nginx 8188/8288, apache 8189/8289, openlitespeed 8190/8290.
set refuses to run until Multi-WebServer Hosting is on. Before that every site
shares one engine, so recording a per-site preference would do nothing:
hitechcloudcli multiweb preflight
hitechcloudcli multiweb enable
The per-site drop-ins are written in one engine's configuration language, so moving a site between engines means writing them again.
See also Multi-WebServer in the hosting panel.
